One sunny Monday morning, I set off for Alsace to photograph the old BB67400 diesel locomotives whilst they’re still in service. As I drove up to the spot, I saw the beautiful field of rapeseed in bloom and positioned myself behind it. After a few minutes, the locomotive – which, sadly, wasn’t quite as smart as it used to be – came past, hauling two sets of RRR carriages.
