The British night train known as Caledonian Sleeper has two daily departures from London Euston. One of these is the Highlander, which splits into three sections in Edinburgh, with the carriage groups continuing on to Aberdeen, Inverness and Fort William. Then there is the Lowlander, which only runs as far as the major cities of Glasgow and Aberdeen. The photograph shows 73970 with the through carriages bound for Aberdeen near Newtownhill.
