On 21 June, we headed abroad for another weekend. Our destination was the island of Sylt. As there is no road link between the mainland and this North Frisian island, DB and RDC operate car-carrying trains between Westerland and Niebüll. DB mainly uses diesel Traxx locomotives on these services. BR 245 027 has passed the last station on the island and is heading onto the Hindenburgdamm to reach the mainland.
