Twice a day, RENFE runs its own trains from Spain to Marseille and Lyon. In the lagoons between Leucate and Port-la-Nouvelle, the train provided a striking backdrop against the snow-capped mountains. These trains are unlikely to run for much longer. Renfe’s S106 trains are to be approved for use in France and deployed on routes to the Grande Nation.
