2062 119 + 114 / HR-Kaštel Novi

On the evening of 2 August, we set up our camping chairs and ladders on the slopes above Split to wait for the Slovakian night train. It was hauled by the same locomotive as that morning, so it was facing the wrong way. Just as we were about to leave our spot, word came through a spotting group that a freight train had just left Solin. The noisy diesel locomotives hauled the cement wagons up the ramp at what felt like a snail’s pace. 2062 119 had travelled down the line the previous day as a locomotive-only train, and the 114 was the one from the goods train that morning.
