As not a single freight train was running in the desired direction via the Semmering, I made my way to the railway line leading to Sopron in Hungary. There, the older Class 5047 diesel railcars run hourly. One of the few to have been repainted in the new livery caught my eye as it passed in front of Wiener Neustadt’s main station.
