After my trip to Austria, I decided to take some more photos of wide-gauge vehicles. My focus was on Latvia, although the weather there was the least favourable. The Latvia trip was cut short quite abruptly after I was ‘politely’ informed, in the middle of a forest, that photographing the railway was prohibited. So I moved on to the neighbouring country to the north. There, I headed for the line to Narva. When I saw that overhead lines were already in place there, I headed back south to the line to Valga, where there was still no sign that electrically powered trains were ever intended to run there. The first train to arrive was the Flirt 2317 on Zug 330 from Tallinn, which I captured right at Mägiste station.
