For the 101 Express to Gyumri, I’ve only found one spot where the lighting is right. I quite liked the new ЭП2Д multiple units, in a colour scheme similar to that of Russian Railways – enough so that my friends classified them as a typical ‘Noelbahn’. By the time we reached Norshen, most of the 500-metre climb to Gyumri had already been completed, and the multiple unit could cover the final, flat section of the journey.
