On our last day in Calabria, we headed to the line between Lamezia Terme and Catanzaro. The first spot we’d planned to visit was a road bridge that the railway crossed. There, amongst the orange and olive trees, an ALn 663 passed by, though it was no longer in the best condition. At least most of the graffiti had been removed, but one half of the snow plough hadn’t been replaced – presumably because it hardly ever snows in this part of the world anyway.
