Within a year, a new double-track section is to be built between Stans and Dallenwil to enable half-hourly services between Lucerne and the Obwalden exclave of Engelberg. Shortly afterwards, the HGe shuttle trains are also to be replaced by new Adler. The HGe 101 968 is hauling a typical Lucerne–Engelberg Express formation comprising Globi carriages and GSW to Engelberg.
