On 8 March, we travelled to Dettenhausen to visit the Schönbuchbahn. Trains have been running there again since 23 February. The CAF Nexio trains experienced significant delays in coming into service. They were originally due to enter service at the end of 2021, but problems pushed this back to 2025, albeit with interruptions due to the unreliability of the Spanish-built trains. On Sundays, the 100 km/h multiple units run every 30 minutes between Böblingen and Dettenhausen; on this spring Sunday, just a few metres before the terminus at Dettenhausen, we managed to capture 455 006 on camera.
