In the Mattertal valley, there is still one R41 service which is hauled by a locomotive. It took a bit of luck to catch this ad-free ex-BVZ locomotive on this shuttle service. Next to the golf course – which, unfortunately, isn’t particularly green yet – HGe 4/4 5 was photographed with a motley collection of carriages.
