On the afternoon of 13 June, I went down to Lake Brienz to take the classic route via Niederried. During the summer, the Zentralbahn operates the PE service from Lucerne to Interlaken almost exclusively with 10-carriage trains consisting of a Fink and an Adler’. With the new Fink and Adler trains currently being delivered, a new design is coming to the narrow-gauge railway of Central Switzerland. As PE 2930 the two trains reach the tourist resort in the Bernese Oberland in just a few minutes.
