Danish State Railways operates the S-Tog lines around Copenhagen. The S-Tog lines are equipped with a 1,650-volt DC catenary system, which is why only SE and SA type rolling stock is used. There is virtually no freight traffic on the lines, as freight trains must be hauled by a diesel-powered lead locomotive.
