ONCF DH 427 / Touabaa – Matmata

Having already managed to photograph the grain train just above Sidi Harazem (سيدي احرازم), I drove to the stations at Ain Sbit (عين السبيت) and Touabaa (الطوابعة) to see where the freight train would cross paths with the Al Atlas 204. I informed my colleagues that the freight train was stationary at Touabaa (الطوابعة). I then joined the two Germans, who had found a good vantage point near Oulad Ayyad (أولاد عياد). In the most beautiful, crystal-clear evening light, the DH 427 together with its load weighing just under 2,000 tonnes, thundered past us.
